The annual parade starts at the Finlandia Centre on Bay Street.
It should be noted that Saint Urho is a fictitious character based on a festival to rival Saint Patrick who cleared Ireland of "snakes" (evil). The festival was established to bring about a spring festival comparable to similar festivals in Northern Minnesota. However, have said that we might simply celebrate the many 'Saints' within Finland that existed throughout the centuries.
