Every year in March the Finnish community hold their celebration of Saint Urho at the Finlandia Centre on Bay Street, just above the famous Hoito Restaurant.

EDITORS NOTE

It should be noted that Saint Urho is a fictitious character based on a festival to rival Saint Patrick who cleared Ireland of "snakes" (evil). The festival was established to bring about a spring festival comparable to similar festivals in Northern Minnesota. However, have said that we might simply celebrate the many 'Saints' within Finland that existed throughout the centuries.
